Centipedes are collected and placed into a basin or bucket. They are then scalded with hot water to kill them, after which the tail is cut off, and the internal organs, including the fecal matter and eggs, are removed. Next, select centipedes of similar length and width. Take thin bamboo sticks that are slightly pointed at one end. Pierce the mouth end of the centipede with the pointed end of the bamboo, and insert the other end of the bamboo into the tail end of the centipede. The natural elasticity of the bamboo will help straighten the centipede. Once straightened, the centipedes are dried thoroughly. During the processing, care must be taken not to damage or break off the tails. After processing, store the centipedes in a dry place to prevent moisture and the risk of mildew or infestation. This method ensures the centipedes remain intact and maintain their quality for long-term use.
