I’ve always been on the lookout for ways to improve my health, and over the past few months, I’ve been focusing on increasing my fruit and vegetable intake. One of the easiest methods I've discovered is making smoothies at home, often as part of my midday snack routine. My go-to method is blending a handful of fresh spinach with some water until it’s nice and smooth.

Then, I add half a banana along with seasonal fruits that I think will pair well—peaches and raspberries, oranges and strawberries, pineapple and papaya—it’s always a fun experiment! Most of the time, they turn out great, though I’ve had a couple of misses. A little pro tip: the riper the fruit, the sweeter the smoothie!

Recently, I stumbled upon a recipe for a PB&J Smoothie and decided to give it a try. To my delight, it was absolutely fantastic! Even my husband, who isn’t much of a smoothie fan, loved it. He even asked me to make it again the next day. If you’re not into PB&J, though, this probably won’t change your mind.

PB&J Smoothie

PB&J Smoothie
1 cup Fresh Spinach
2 tablespoons Water
1 Banana
1 cup Frozen Mixed Berries
2 tablespoons Peanut Butter
A handful of Ice Cubes

I’ve made this a few times already this week, and now every time I whip up a smoothie, my son asks, “Mommy, is that peanut butter and jelly?” When I confirm, he grins adorably and says, “Can we share?” Adorable, right? Until he ends up drinking three-quarters of it himself.

But hey, if he’s happy and healthy, I’m okay with sharing. After all, it’s packed with nutrients, and he loves it!
