Potassium fertilizer four attention

1. Because of the scarcity of potash fertilizer resources due to soil application, potassium fertilizer should be put in the area with severe potassium deficiency. When the general soil available potassium is lower than 80mg/kg, the effect of potash fertilizer is obvious, and potassium fertilizer should be added; when the soil available potassium is 80-120mg/kg, no potassium is applied. From the soil texture, the content of available potassium in sandy soil is often low, and potassium fertilizer should be added. The content of available potassium in clay soil is often higher and can be less applied. Potassium sulfate may be used in soils that lack potassium and sulfur, and sodium chloride may not be applied in saline soils.

2. Crops applied to hi potassium crops such as legumes, potato crops, sugar cane, sugar beet, cotton, tobacco and other cash crops, as well as cereal corn, hybrid rice and so on.

In most rainy areas or areas with good irrigation and drainage conditions, potassium chloride can be applied to most crops. For a few economic crops, it is not appropriate to use potassium chloride for quality improvement. The rational application of potash fertilizer is determined by the requirements of the product traits for agricultural production and its use. In addition, because different crops require different amounts of potassium and different potassium uptake capacities in roots, the degree of response of crops to potash fertilizers also differs. From the results of years of potash application, the effects of potassium fertilizers on rice, corn, cotton, sweet potato, and oil crops have increased. It is best to reach 11.7-43.3%, followed by wheat and other crops.

3. Note the use of potassium for crop rotation in rice-rice rotations. Since early rice has more organic fertilizer, late rice generally does not use organic fertilizer, so potassium fertilizer should be applied to late rice. In winter wheat and summer maize rotations, potassium fertilizer should be given priority to corn.

4. Pay attention to the reasonable mix between potash fertilizers For tobacco, sugar crops, and fruit trees, potassium sulfate should be used as a good product; for fiber crops, potassium chloride is more suitable. Due to the high cost of potassium sulfate, potassium sulfate can be used in high-efficiency and economic crops. For general field crops, cheaper potassium chloride should be used in addition to a few chlorine-sensitive crops.
