Licorice planting the best fall or otherwise affect the seedlings

1, selection, site preparation

For cultivated licorice, sandy loam with deep soil and low groundwater level should be selected, and cultivating about 30 centimeters. At present, more flat work is done and very few are used for high beds; for good drainage and irrigation, the land can also be made into small rakes and applied to basal fertilizer. Land preparation is best to turn autumnal, spring turn must be preserved, or affect the seedlings, seedlings.

2. Breeding methods: Seed breeding is the main method of production, and it can also be propagated by roots.

(1) Seed propagation: soaked in warm water at 60°C for several hours before sowing, grind with glass slag and the same amount of seeds for half an hour, and soak for about 1 hour with concentrated sulfuric acid (concentrated sulfuric acid: water at 1:1.5). Spring sowing in March to April, autumn broadcast in August to September. Drilling is carried out in shallow grooves with a spacing of 50 cm and a depth of 3 cm. The seeds are evenly sprinkled into the trench and then covered with earth. Holecasters open holes by 10 to 15 centimeters from each hole, 3 to 5 seeds per hole, and 2 to 3 kilograms per mu. After sowing, keep the soil moist and cover the grass on the seedbed. When the soil is dry, it should be watered. Seedlings emerge in two or three weeks after sowing.

(2) Rhizome propagation: In spring and autumn, dig out rhizomes and cut them into small pieces of about 5 cm. Each piece should have 1-2 buds and be buried underground. The depth is about 20 cm according to the soil moisture.

(3) Breeding by multiple plants: Many new strains can be sprouted spontaneously by the old strain of licorice and excavated in spring or autumn.

3, field management

(1) Irrigation: The type of soil and the degree of salinity should be determined: the sand is salt-free or slightly saline-alkali soil, which can be sowed after sowing; the soil is heavy or salty and heavy, should be sowed before sowing, robbed sowing, No irrigation after sowing, so as not to increase soil consolidation and salinity. The key to artificially cultivated licorice is keeping seedlings, and generally the plants are not watered after they grow.

(2) Cultivated weeding: weeding and weeding are generally carried out in the year of emergence. From the second year onwards, licorice roots are distributed, and weeds are difficult to compete with. We do not need cultivating and weeding.

(3) Fertilization: Apply enough base fertilizer before planting. Phosphate fertilizers can be topdressed each year in the early spring, and the roots of licorice roots have root nodules and nitrogen fixation. Nitrogen deficiency is generally absent.
