Using a dehumidifying dryer offers numerous advantages that significantly improve the quality and efficiency of your production process. Here are some key benefits:
â—† Removing moisture from plastic raw materials helps prevent bubble formation, ensuring better mechanical properties, electrical performance, dimensional stability, and an improved appearance of the final product.
â—† It minimizes defects and rework, reducing waste and saving costs in the long run.
â—† The use of highly dry air ensures faster drying times, which leads to reduced labor hours and increased productivity.
â—† The closed-loop air system with built-in filters makes the dryer independent of external weather conditions, while also preventing dust contamination and improving the overall factory environment.
A successful drying process depends on four key factors: drying temperature, residence time, airflow, and dew point. These elements are closely related, and any change in one can impact the overall effectiveness of the drying process.
◆ Drying temperature refers to the temperature of the air entering the drying chamber. Different materials have specific temperature requirements based on their physical characteristics, such as molecular structure, density, specific heat, and moisture content. If the temperature is too high, certain additives may volatilize or clump together. If it's too low, some crystalline materials might not dry properly. For example, PC requires around 120°C, while ABS needs 80–95°C. Proper insulation of the drying barrel is essential to maintain consistent temperature and avoid energy loss.
◆ Drying time is the duration the material is pre-dried before processing. Too long a drying time can lead to material degradation or clumping, while too short a time may leave excess moisture. For instance, PC typically needs 3–4 hours, and ABS also requires 3–4 hours.
◆ Airflow is the main medium for removing moisture from the material. The volume of air directly affects the drying efficiency. Excessive airflow can raise return air temperature, causing instability in the dew point, while insufficient airflow may leave moisture behind. The airflow capacity also reflects the dehumidifying dryer’s overall performance.
◆ Dew point temperature measures how dry the air is. It indicates the temperature at which moisture condenses out of the air. The lower the dew point, the drier the air. A high-quality dehumidifying dryer should achieve a dew point of -40°C or lower, ensuring optimal drying results.
Dietary supplements are prescribed for products intended to supplement the diet, which may contain one or more of the following dietary ingredients, a vitamin, a mineral, an herb (herbal) or other plant, an amino acid, a food component used to increase the total daily intake to supplement the diet, or a concentrate, metabolite, component, extract or combination of the above ingredients. It also includes approved new drugs, vitamins or biologics that have been marketed as dietary supplements or food products before they are approved, issued or licensed.
