A new generation of molecular micro-nano anti-infective wounds has been promoted

Release date: June 15, 2009

Recently, the national launch event for the “Application of Molecular Micronization Nanotechnology in Wound Treatment” took place in Beijing. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Health’s 100-Year Plan for promoting appropriate technologies in both urban and rural communities. The new generation of anti-infective band-aids and medical dressings developed through this technology have proven to be highly effective in treating wounds, especially in the aftermath of the Wenchuan earthquake. Their performance has been highly praised by medical experts.

The latest anti-infective bandage utilizes advanced NOS (Norwegian) molecular micro-nanotechnology to produce super-active antibacterial ions. Clinical studies have confirmed that these wound patches offer broad-spectrum, long-lasting antibacterial and anti-infection properties, significantly improving healing outcomes. These bandages can be changed once a day, and even under challenging conditions like sweat, moisture, or rain, their effectiveness remains strong. They are easy to use—simply rinse the wound with water and apply directly to the affected area.

Nanotechnology involves the study of the behavior and characteristics of electrons, atoms, and molecules at the scale of 0.1 to 100 nanometers. Scientists discovered that when a few dozen atoms or molecules are isolated at the nanoscale, they exhibit unique and significant properties. By harnessing these properties, researchers can develop advanced technologies and functional devices. This field has opened up new possibilities in medicine, materials science, and beyond.

As this groundbreaking technology continues to evolve, it holds great promise for improving patient care, particularly in emergency and resource-limited settings. The collaboration between scientific innovation and medical application is paving the way for more effective and accessible wound treatment solutions. The Shanghai Medical Device Industry Association supports such advancements as a crucial step toward better healthcare outcomes for all.
