Stem cell therapy can promote healing of burn scars

A recent study by a research team at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, showed that treatment of burns with mesenchymal stem cells extracted from bone marrow can promote the healing of scars caused by severe burns.
In the experiment, the scientists divided mice with a 40% burn area into two groups, one of which received stem cell therapy and the other did not. The results showed that after 60 days, the scars of the mice treated with stem cells were almost 100% healed, while only 80% of the mice in the control group healed.
According to the head of the research project, Carolina Kariari, the effect is the use of mesenchymal stem cells, which promote the production of flax-like embryonic cells such as bones, cartilage, muscles, and dermis. Although the principle of stem cell function in mice is not well understood, the researchers concluded that these stem cell-treated mice exhibited many tissue microparticles and blood vessels in the wound, which contributed to the healing of scars.
In addition to the rapid healing of scars, these severely burned mice have also improved in other ways, such as the ability to eliminate excessive immune responses at an early stage, and stem cell therapy also helps control systemic inflammatory response syndrome.
As for the treatment of humans, Cariari believes that the current experiment is not perfect, but this is the closest experiment to the human body. The team next envisioned the use of human mesenchymal stem cells extracted from umbilical veins and adipose tissue for therapeutic experiments.

INDICATION

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Usually administered as mixed water or mixed feed.
Chicken: 240mg amprolium hydrochloride per 1 liter drinking water for 5-7 days.
Lambs: 50-100mg amprolium hydrochloride/kg bodyweight daily for 4 days. By mixed feed.
Calves: 25-50mg amprolium hydrochloride/kg bodyweight, 1-2 times daily, for 5 days. By mixed feed or oral irrigation.
Disable the laying period.
CONTRAINDICATION
Do not administer to debilitated animals.
USE DURING PREGNANCY, LACTATION OR LAY

ADVERSE REACTION (FREQUENCY)
Toxicity is observed only at high doses. CNS signs are caused by thiamine deficiency, which may be reversed by adding thiamine to the diet.
