Licorice cultivation technology

Glycyrrhiza belongs to the family of perennial plants and medicinal parts of the leguminous family, which are roots and rhizomes. It contains 5-11% triterpenoids, glycyrrhizin, followed by flavonoids such as glycyrrhizin, licorice aglycone, isoliquiritigenin, and isoliquiritigenin. Sexual sweetness, and moderate acuteness, lungs, detoxification, and reconciliation of various drugs are indispensable blind drugs in many Chinese medicines.
(1) Select land preparation. Licorice enjoys arid climate, sandy loam suitable for deep soil layer and low groundwater level can achieve more silt, less fiber, sweet taste, and good quality. Deep fall about 30cm in autumn, combined with deep Mushi high-quality agricultural fertilizer 4000-5000kg, urea 20kg, general calcium 50kg, lotus root leveling, to be planted in the following year.
(2) sowing cultivation. Licorice seeds and rhizomes can be used as seed material.
Seed breeding. It can be planted in three seasons in spring, summer and autumn. It can be planted after thawing in spring soil, and it can be sown in about March-April. If the spring drought is serious, it can be sown after summer rain. In autumn and winter, the soil is sowed before freezing to make the seeds Overwintering in the soil, the temperature rises in the following year, germination and emergence. Seeds are mechanically ground prior to sowing and damaged seed coats to ensure emergence. When sowing is used, the spacing is 30-50cm, the depth of the ditch is 3-5cm, and after sowing, the earth is covered with earth and the amount of mowing is 2.5-3kg. If the seed germination rate is low, depending on the situation, increase the seeding rate. When growing seedlings, the sowing volume can be increased to 5-6kg. Other methods are the same as before.
Rootstock breeding. Digging of licorice in spring and autumn should be done. The young rhizomes with a diameter of about 1cm should be selected and cut into 15cm segments. Each segment should have 1-2 axillary buds. When sowing, the ditch should be about 5cm deep and the ditch should be 30-50cm. The pendulum is placed in the ditch, and the segment spacing is 7-10 cm. After covering the soil, it can be used as 75-100 kg per mu.
(3) Field management. In the case of three true leaves growing from the seedlings, one thinning was performed to evacuate the seedlings, and the seedlings were seeded in five true leaves at a spacing of about 15 cm. During the growing season, loose soil weeding. In case of heavy rain, drain it in time to prevent rot. During the growing season, the nitrogen-phosphorus compound fertilizer 30-50kg/mu was combined with rainfall. The main diseases and pests of licorice are powdery mildew, rust, aphids, and spider mites. According to the situation in the field can be timely prevention and treatment. In the fall, it is suitable to cultivate soil to facilitate wintering.
(4) Harvesting. Seeds are propagated for 3-4 years and the rhizomes are harvested for 2-3 years. It can be excavated in the late autumn and early winter and before the spring budding. It is better to use excavators in the fall. The content of glycyrrhizic acid is high and the quality is strong. After the licorice is excavated, the net soil is removed to remove stem bases, branches and fibrous roots, cut into appropriate lengths, and then dried until it is half dry. The bundles are bundled into small bundles and then dried until they are completely dry, and they can be stored and sold.
