Prevention of seedling damping-off disease, first of all to do a timely ditch drainage. Excessive rainfall in spring and summer, poor draining of ditch, pond water, and excessive moisture on the seedbed will all cause germs to spread in the soil. Therefore, for the nursery with unequal seedbed height and high groundwater level, it is necessary to clear the drainage ditch so that the rain will stay dry and the seedlings will not be affected by water so as to facilitate the loosening and ventilation of the nursery. Second, timely weeding, seedlings, remove diseased seedlings. The weeds in the nursery should be cleared early and the seedlings too dense. Weeding should be carried out in conjunction with the weeds in order to promote the vigorous growth of seedlings, increase the resistance to disease, and find that the diseased seedlings should be immediately removed to prevent cross-infection. When the seedbed is too wet, 50-75 kilograms of planting ash or fire and earth ash can be applied per acre, which not only fertilizes but also promotes the development of seedling roots, early lignification of seedling stems, and enhanced resistance to disease. Again, it is time to apply drugs. Before the onset of the disease, seedlings are tender and can be mixed with 20 kg of lime powder and 80 kg of plant ash, and 100-150 kg per mu can be used to prevent disease. After every 7-10 days, it is sprayed once with 0.5% Bordeaux mixture. It can also be sprayed with 1-20% ferrous sulfate solution. After the onset of disease, it can be diluted with 500-800 times of dixone, thiophanate, and chlorothalonil. Once every 10 days, it can be sprayed 2-3 times. The control effect is also very good.
