Walnut double tongue grafting improved new technology

In recent years, walnut grafting technology has become one of the main methods for the breeding of walnut varieties. The "indoor healing and planting colonization" new technology has been accepted by many people. However, this method has the problems of high healing rate (95%) and low survival rate (about 65%) in the colonization of nursery land. Walnut double-leaf grafting improves the survival rate of colonization by more than 15%.
First, stock selection. Select 1 to 2 years old walnut seedlings, requires strong growth, no pests, no cleft palate, root integrity, diameter of 0.8 to 1.5 cm.
Second, scion selection. Choose the mature or no-disease, full-lignified annual or secondary branches of the early mature walnut variety with a thickness of 0.7-1.5 cm.
Third, equipment preparation. WMZK~10 type temperature controller, electric heating line, freshly screened sawdust, corn silk clothing, agricultural film, thermometer, branch cutting, flat blade (specially made special), bud grafting knife, basket, plastic rope and so on. The quantity is determined by the scale of reproduction.
Fourth, the grafting process. Cutting the anvil: Dig up the rootstock from the nursery and cut it 2 to 3 centimeters above the rhizome to cut off the long main and lateral roots. Twenty bundles are tied and the lower ends are aligned. Cuttings: The scions are cut to a length of 10 to 12 cm, with 2 to 3 full-filled scions (the pith heart may not exceed 1/3 of the scion's diameter), the upper cuts are about 1 cm from the bud, and 50 scions are bundled. Align the lower end. Treatment of rootstock: The rootstock and scion were erected in an aqueous solution of a new type of plant growth regulator (developed by the Yangtze University) (immersion depth 5 cm) for 2 hours. The degree of water film was cut on the cutting edge of the scion. Cutting the rootstock: Cut the lower part of the rootstock and scion with a flat spatula to a smooth, 4-6cm, uncut surface, and then cut a knife about 1/3 of the upper surface to a depth of 1-2cm. Cutting Strapping: Insert each of the short tongues of the scion into the other's slit to align with the layers. The interface was tied with a corn coat, and 5 plastic ropes were bundled together. Sealing wax: The exposed part of the grafted scion was quickly crushed in liquid paraffin. Hotbed Healing: Select a place of about 15 square meters in the room, arrange the electric heating lines at an equal distance of 8 to 10 centimeters, and fill the sawdust (moisture content of 55% to 60%) on the side of planting seedlings. The electric heating line is basically the same as the grafting site. , Then place the temperature probe on the electric heating line, turn on the power, adjust the temperature to 30°C, and shut off the electricity after 11-15 days of the healing process. The whole process of healing should be carefully managed. Check the temperature of the bed, observe the temperature of the sawdust, and when the surface of the sawdust is whitened, promptly spray with warm water of 35-40°C.
Fifth, then management. Prosthesis: After healing, it is best to leave the bed warm and moisturize, or you can remove the hotbed to plant in moist soil. Keep the temperature above 8°C and the humidity above 80%. Planting: In the spring, conventional methods are used to sort the nursery and the bed width is 1.2 meters. When the average temperature is above 10°C, plants are planted at a spacing of 20 cm (50 to 70) cm and 5,550 plants per mu. The planting depth is limited to the grafted material. Drench the water once. Film: double-lined film was used to cover the mulch after the film was covered, and the bare part of the graft was exposed outside the film.
VI. Management after survival. In addition to the sprouting: The rootstock sprouted in time to erase. Drying: When the buds of the surviving plants sprout 5 to 10 cm in length, they are dried in time and a vigorously growing shoot is selected as the main trunk. The rest is erased. Plunging the anchor rod: When the trunk grows to more than 10 cm, it must be timely inserted into the pole (bamboo pole or wooden stick), and the trunk is tied on the pole with a plastic film strip in order to make the main trunk grow and straighten to prevent wind folding. Improve seedling rate and seedling quality. Other management: timely loose soil, weeding, fertilizing, irrigation and pest control.
