Many measures to increase the lighting rate of vegetable greenhouses

In winter, insufficient lighting of greenhouse vegetables is a common problem. Insufficient illumination can not only lead to more vigorous photosynthesis, but also reduce transpiration, plant growth and weakness, and multiple diseases and insect pests. Therefore, it is necessary to take some effective measures to improve the lighting conditions in the greenhouse and to produce vegetables in greenhouses. Specific measures include:

First, a reasonable layout

When planting different types of vegetables in greenhouses, the principle of “lower height from the north to the south” should be followed, so that the plants can be staggered and arranged in an orderly manner, minimizing mutual obstruction. Transplanting the same kind of vegetables, trying to make the seedlings the same size, so that the plants grow neatly and reduce shading between the plants. At the same time, it is better to do planting in the north and south, so that it can receive as much sunlight as possible.

Second, keep the film clean

Water droplets, dust, and other debris on the film will reduce the light transmittance by about 30%. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly clean, wash the dust, dirt and water droplets on the surface of the house, and keep the surface of the film clean to increase the transparency of the film.

Third, a reasonable uncovering straw

Under the premise of doing a good job of insulation work, appropriate early removal of the straw curtain and delay cover for heat preservation can extend the lighting time and increase the amount of lighting. Generally, the curtain is uncovered 0.5-1 hours after the sun comes out, and the curtain is covered half an hour before the sun goes down. Especially in the rainy days when it rains, it is necessary to properly uncover the sun's scattered light.

Fourth, the choice of non-drip film

The drop-free film incorporates several surfactants in its formulation, which greatly weakens the affinity between the water molecules and the film, and water droplets flow along the film surface into the ground without droplets. The use of a drip-free membrane shed can increase the light intensity in the shed and increase the temperature of the shed.

Fifth, set the light curtain

With a 2-meter-wide, 3 meter-long aluminized film reflector, hanging on the north side of the greenhouse to make it perpendicular to the ground, it can add 40% light to the ground and increase the temperature of the shed by 3°C-4°C. In addition, laying silver-gray film on the ground can also increase the light intensity between plants.

Six, do a good job of plant finishing

Timely management of the fields such as pruning, squatting, tying vines, and playing old leaves will help to improve the ventilation and light transmission conditions in the shed.
