Rice field timely water supply and increase production

Reasonable water management during grouting during rice grouting is an important measure to promote root conservation, ensure smooth grouting, and increase grain weight. Studies have shown that about 30% of the material needed to be synthesized and transferred into grain from the rice to the wax-matured stage, and sufficient water supply must be ensured at the later filling stage. Generally, the soil moisture content is 90% of the maximum water holding capacity in the field. Insufficient moisture will lead to early yellowing of rice leaves, premature plant failure, resulting in reduced production.
In the late stage of rice growth, intermittent irrigation should be implemented, that is, the water should be drained and then watered, and the time of field water accumulation should be gradually reduced as the rice matures. The last time the water is cut before harvesting should be flexibly controlled according to the specific circumstances. During the mature period, when the temperature is high, the water evaporates quickly, and the sandy land with high topography and convenient irrigation and drainage, the water cut may be later, and it is generally advisable to cut off the water 3 to 5 days before the harvest; the temperature is low during mature period and the soil is heavy. Poorly drained plots may be cut off as early as possible, and it is generally advisable to cut water 10 to 15 days before harvest.
