Farmyard fertilizer plus "additives" effects

Farmers often face challenges with low levels of active ingredients and slow fertilizer effects. To improve the efficiency of farmyard manure, adding small amounts of specific additives can be highly beneficial. These additives help reduce the loss of volatile components while significantly boosting the overall effectiveness of the fertilizer. One effective method is to add ferrous sulfate to human fecal urine. For every 100 kg of human excrement, 500 to 600 grams of ferrous sulfate can be mixed in. This helps convert ammonium carbonate into stable ammonium sulfate, which acts as a nutrient source and also serves as a deodorizer, preventing nitrogen from volatilizing. Another approach involves adding calcium superphosphate to human waste. By mixing 5 kg of superphosphate with 100 kg of human excreta and letting it sit for 3 to 10 days, the highly volatile ammonium carbonate is transformed into stable ammonium phosphate. This not only increases the phosphorus content but also helps retain nitrogen, making the fertilizer more balanced and effective. To enhance plant ash, you can soak 3 kg of plant ash in 15 kg of water, then add 1 kg of superphosphate. After mixing well, add 50 kg of water after 6 hours, stir again, and let the mixture settle. The clear solution obtained can be used as an effective fertilizer. Similarly, potassium dihydrogen phosphate has comparable benefits and can be used in the same way. When stacking manure, adding ammonium bicarbonate can improve its quality. Chop plant stalks and leaves into small pieces, mix them with 0.5% to 1% of ammonium bicarbonate relative to the amount of manure and urine, and cover the pile with mud. This process allows the material to decompose into a powerful bio-potash fertilizer over time. Adding superphosphate to manure is another useful technique. Mix 20% superphosphate with the manure and let it sit for 20 days. This not only prevents nitrogen loss but also speeds up the decomposition process and increases the available phosphorus content, making the final product more nutritious. For fresh cow dung, adding yellow soy milk can be beneficial. Mix 2.5 kg of yellow soy milk per 100 kg of fresh cow dung in a jar, seal it, and let it ferment for 3 to 6 days. Water should be added three times during this period. This method results in a fertilizer that performs better than ammonia-based fertilizers, offering improved soil enrichment and crop yield.
