First, before starting the operation, it’s important to ensure that all moving parts are properly engaged and that the clutch and throttle are gradually adjusted from low to high. Only after reaching a stable, rated speed should the harvesting process begin. This helps prevent mechanical stress and ensures smooth operation.
Second, while working in the field, regular checks on the cutting and crushing quality are necessary. The height of the rake should be maintained at an appropriate level, and the header height should be adjusted as needed based on the crop conditions. Consistent monitoring helps maintain efficiency and reduces the risk of damage to the crop or the machine.
Third, the performance of the picking device should be evaluated by observing the amount of grain scattered on the ground. The grain loss should not exceed 0.5% of the total corn kernels harvested. If losses are higher than expected, check the alignment and spacing of the picking pans to ensure they are functioning correctly. Proper adjustment can significantly reduce waste and improve overall productivity.
Finally, when turning or moving the harvester between rows, the header should be raised to the transport position to avoid damage. While operating in the field, the harvester should always move along the furrows to minimize soil compaction and ensure even distribution of pressure.
