Survey shows that 65% of American diabetes patients want doctors to use health tracking technology

The Telcare online survey shows that 58% of American diabetics want to use health sensing technology to track their diet. Among the people surveyed, 16% were diabetics, 61% knew diabetes, and 21% cared for diabetes.
These diabetes participants are twice as likely to see a doctor because of the knowledge they have gained through the health app.
52% of respondents said they trust health tracking technology, and 57% believe in new technologies when they are in line with technical and medical expertise. 85% of people with diabetes believe in new technologies, and those with diabetes are 76% lower.
The survey also found that 65% of people want doctors to integrate health tracking technology into their recommended care plans, and 71% report that they will use technology to track their fitness goals.
In counting the millennial respondents, Telcare found that 77% of millennials are interested in using technology to track family health and fitness, and 55% of millennial diabetes patients have increased communication with doctors because of the use of healthy apps.
