How to reduce the impact of high temperature on shrimp production?
During the hot season, the weather is hot, the sunshine is strong, the temperature is high, and the water quality is poor, which affects the shrimp's foraging and molting, and it also easily causes death. In order to reduce the impact of high temperature on shrimp production, the following shrimp rearing management should be done:
(1) Scientific feeding can reduce the impact of high temperature
The bait should be fed twice before sunrise and after sunset, with 1/3 in the morning and 2/3 in the evening. Prawns grow less in the early stage of growth and more in the later stages; fewer in the morning and more in the evening; fewer casts in the low tide and more in the tidal period; fewer shrimp in the clams when they are heavily moulted, and cast more when they grow normally.
(2) Water temperature control and oxygen increase
As the water temperature rises and the shrimp grows, the depth of water must be continuously increased. In the tide period, it is necessary to maintain a daily change of water; in the low tide and dry season, mechanical irrigation and drainage should be conducted so that the amount of water exchanged can reach 50%. In the high-temperature period, the whole row should be fully filled to facilitate the fast food, high quality and high yield of shrimp.
(3) Prevent the death of shrimp
In the hot season, it is necessary to stick to the morning and the evening to inspect the ponds, observe the growth activities of the shrimps and the surviving of the bait, and determine the type and quantity of the bait on the day. Before midnight and before dawn, if the phenomenon of oyster shrimp, white shrimp floating head, and small trash fish gathering to the pond edge (this is a sign of shrimp floating) is found, it is necessary to start the aerator or change the water in time.
(4) Beware of shrimp disease
During the high temperature season, the metabolic level of the shrimp body is reduced, coupled with deterioration of the water environment, pathogenic organisms breed, and it is easy to cause shrimp disease. Therefore, we must do a good job of prevention and control of shrimp disease.
