Bees' summer management considerations
In summer, the bee colony tends to be reduced for many reasons. The main reasons are: First, the night is short, the temperature difference between day and night is small, and the temperature is high during the day; Second, the lack of honey source time is as long as 2 to 3 months. The queen bee stopped spawning; the third is the insults such as wasps and cockroaches and pesticide poisoning, which can easily cause the bee colony to be extremely weakened. In order to keep bees safe during the hot summer months, the following work should be done.
1. Site selection Summer bee colonies should be placed under a shade of shaded trees, near a place with clean water. Set the box frame to a height of 50 to 80 cm to prevent rain from intruding into the nest. Box side can be used to disperse anthill, etc. to prevent ants from attacking.
2. Replace the queen bee to prevent aging of the bee queen and affect spawning. From April to May each year, the bee queen of more than 80% of the bee colony should be replaced with the new bee king cultivated in the year.
3, leaving enough for each group of feed to stay in addition to 2 to 3 boxes of honey spleen and a box of pollen spleen, but also each group should be 2 to 3 boxes to cover the honey spleen and 1 to 2 box pollen spleen, in order to feed at any time Bee colony.
