Through this hard-start pioneer, we can see how a team that has accumulated a lot in the medical field in China can quickly embrace the VR industry.
Digital animation and medical combination
Crystal Stone is a very magical company, which is regarded as the Whampoa Military Academy in the field of CG three animations. Zhizhi recently contacted a number of VR creation teams to find the shadow of the crystal stone, and Pan Wei also has this origin.
The founder/CEO of Lancet was born in 1979 and graduated from Shanghai Normal University with a major in economics. In the early years of his career, he worked in medical device certification. After joining Crystal Stone in 2009, he opened up a medical direction for the company in Shanghai. He mainly took three animation projects in medical training, education and publicity. In 2013, Pan Wei was responsible for a project team of 50 people.
After choosing entrepreneurship, Pan Wei and two partners, Yang Lan and Jin Xin, jointly founded the medical micro-information, and the core team also came from Crystal Stone. Two years before the start of the business, the company continued the main advantages of the previous market, doing medical CG projects, based on the industry advantages accumulated before, in a state of self-sufficiency.
The medical micro-sense team has grown from the original 30 to 40 people to 70 people. 75%-80% of the members are engaged in digital media production and development, 20%-25% of the members are medical background, will focus on understanding users, analysis needs, docking experts and design scripts. The content of medical micro-productions has also been customized from to B's customized medical animations, such as the Lancet we now know.
